What inspired you to start your business?

As a long-time farmer in the central Vancouver Island area and selling primarily direct to consumers I have had many requests over the years for seeds and so, as time went on, I decided to slowly start to add seeds for sale. This addition has helped me continue my farming operation and to grow food for many people.

How do you describe your brand?

I run a small scale semi-urban farm that has produced produce for my community for almost 20 years. I grow without the use chemicals or sprays of any kind, fertilizers are all natural and pronounceable. Non-certified organic growing methods.

What’s your bestselling product & why do you think they’re so popular?

I would say it’s a tie between Lettuce seeds, Carrots seeds, and Tomato seeds.

Pretty simply. Just quality seeds, good quantities at reasonable prices.

What’s your favourite product from your own shop?

I’m a big carrot fan these days, so it would have to be carrot seeds.

What’s your favourite local British Columbia business?

Sweet treats at the gelato shop, Cold Front.
