What was the inspiration to open your shop?
We are busy moms and wanted our kiddos to play and explore without all the sounds and flashing lights from the many toys they already had, so we went to our dad’s shop and started playing around, and Little Sparrows Shop was born!
How would you describe your business?
We strive to make everything with multiple uses and able to be a spark for imagination and creativity. Our toys are made from sustainable wood, grown in Manitoba whenever possible. We make everything from scratch, including the design of the animals! Kirsty is an ECE 3 with years of experience in early childhood settings, and Jessica is a teacher, with experience from Kindergarten to Grade 12, so we fully understand the importance of play-based learning!

Animal play sets.
Who doesn’t love animals? Our sets are themed and can be used individually or added to playscapes or toys kiddos already have! They’re simply designed and just invite play!
