Sprucedale Sweets
Sprucedale Sweets is a Canadian fudge company and local Thunder Bay shop started by incredible fudge maker, Jen Hakala. We received one of her fudge sampler sets as a hostess gift and wow, what a great selection of fudge with an incredible taste. It was hard not to eat the six pieces all at once! Jen has grown her collection of fudge flavours to include over 70 options. Some of them include candy cane fudge, orange creamsicle fudge, watermelon fudge, beer fudge (this would make a great gift for beer lovers), and so many more
Cape Breton Fudge Co.
Cape Breton Fudge Co. is a local Nova Scotia shop based in Sydney. If you’re in the area, you can visit them in person and shop over 24 flavours of their delicious handmade fudge. If you aren’t in Sydney Nova Scotia and want to purchase their fudge, you can also shop online, which is a really great option and this fudge from Nova Scotia would also make a great Canadian souvenir for someone with a love of Nova Scotia and a sweet tooth. If you happen to know what flavour you’d like, you can order a large piece of fudge, but we love that they have a sampler pack where you can choose six flavours to indulge in. They also have some really great gift baskets and you can reach out to them if you are considering having fudge as a wedding favour or need larger orders for an event they also offer fundraising.
Maple Leaf Fudge
Maple Leaf Fudge is another Canadian fudge company and local Ontario shop based in Niagara On The Lake. We highly recommend if you are visiting Niagara- On-The-Lake to go into Maple Leaf Fudge in person because you’ll get to see the fudge being made the traditional way in copper bowls and the smell of the store is decadent.

The Fudgery
The Fudgery is one of our favourite Canadian fudge companies because it’s what got us hooked on fudge. Our nieces were doing a fundraiser for their school so we definitely wanted to support them. We were happy to learn that for this fundraiser their school had partnered with The Fudgery. They have so many flavours to choose from like chocolate peanut butter, turtle delight, Rocky Road, salted chocolate caramel and so many others. We opted for maple and butter pecan, which have been delicious. The Fudgery is a local Ontario business based in Waterloo.
The Fudgery Banff
The Fudgery has been a staple on the Banff main street since 1976. On a school trip in high school trip I remember going into The Fudgery and watching them make the fudge and all of their treats. It was so neat to watch! The smell of the shop was incredible. It wasn’t until I moved to Alberta later in life that I got to frequently visit The Fudgery and indulge in their gourmet fudge more often. This Canadian fudge company is definitely an iconic local shop in Banff.
Visit them in person at:
