I was first introduced to Marion Bartlett pottery because I visited her art studio – Studio 124 – near Singhampton, Ontario. Marion has an incredible art walk at her home that she’s opened up to the public in the summer months. Above the garage is their art studio that is full of energy, inspiration and the incredible creations by Marion Bartlett and Richard Bino.

I was so fascinated with the pottery and ceramics and had never seen such whimsical, artistic, unique and one of a kind pieces. I absolutely loved the bowl shown in my pictures that has a painting and engraving of a lady.

I was happy to find the beautiful spoon rest you see in my pictures. You could also use this for holding jewellery, putting your teabag on or anything else you can think of. I’ve even been so surprised at how much I use this little ceramic piece. I use daily to put my spoon on after I stir cream in my coffee. I love that it isn’t perfect. That the edges are asymmetrical. It feels like a real piece of art. I highly recommend you check out this Canadian pottery artist and definitely recommend visiting Studio 124 if you live in the area or are travelling through.
