Mirb Studio is a local Ottawa pottery studio that creates gorgeous and unique pottery pieces that have nature-inspired markings like these little trees.
Some of their best selling pieces are their tree mugs. They’re really beautiful mugs that make the perfect gift idea for nature lovers or anyone who appreciates a handmade mug.
Magical Clay At Home
Magical Clay At Home is another local Ottawa business that creates really unique ceramic garden accessories and a few home decor pieces. We absolutely love her gorgeous plant markers. These would make incredible gifts for plant lovers and would look great in a Canadian made planter.
Another one of our favourite creations from this Ottawa pottery artist is their pottery spoon. These would make a great gift for tea lovers and we also included them in our Canadian ceramic spoon shopping guide.
Sowmya Arul Ottawa Pottery
Sowmya started making pottery in Malaysia and continued to create pieces after her move to Ottawa. We love her collection of stemless wine glasses, mugs, bowls candle and ring holders.

Sachiko Takahashi Ceramics has an incredible collection of pottery that incorporates unique patterns and colours. We particularly love their polka dot teapots, but they also make beautiful large mugs and other containers.
Megan Egerton
Megan Egerton is the person behind Ottawa pottery studio, Meg’s Pottering. She’s based just outside of Ottawa in Carp but sells her gorgeous small batch pottery at Ottawa markets throughout the year. Or if you’re planning a trip to Carp, you can visit her at the Carp Farmer’s Market!
Eliane Oba Ceramics
Eliane Oba Ceramics creates a wide variety of gorgeous pottery pieces. Her collection includes the usual mugs and bowls but it also includes unique items like strainers, sushi sets, large vases, Donburi bowls and more. You can visit them and see their pottery at many markets around Ottawa. Here are some of them but we recommend that you check their Instagram account for an updated list.

MJ Stoneware
MJ Stoneware is a local Ottawa pottery shop that has a great collection of gorgeous pottery. They have bowls in various sizes and designs like the beautiful mandala bowl shown below.
- Update: MJ Stoneware is no longer selling their pottery on Etsy and we couldn’t find anywhere else that they’re selling it. We’ll update this guide if that changes.
We also love this set of speckled white pottery mugs. These are perfect if you’re looking for a classic and minimalist design. We love that these come as a set and think they’d make a great gift for coffee lovers.
Another favourite pottery piece of theirs that we love are their little trinket dishes. These are surprisingly handy to have around the house for hair accessories, tea bag holder, little dip containers, and more. We’re always surprised at how much we use these little pottery dishes.
Sunshine Clay Ceramics: Ottawa Pottery
Sunshine Clay Ceramics is creating pottery in Ottawa and their collection includes mugs, berry strainers, bowls, flower vases and planters. The flower vases and their flower petal mug would make lovely gifts for flower lovers.
