The Woodlot

D.C. Taylors
D.C. Taylor’s has been a classic fine jewellery store in Owen Sound since 1895. What started as a watch-making shop has turned into a thriving jewellery store where you can find unique engagement rings, men’s wedding bands, Rolex watches, diamond earrings, and so much more. They recently have closed their downtown location and moved everything to their other location on the east side of the city. This location is a large store with so many different pieces of beautiful jewellery to admire and great staff to help you find the perfect item.

The Owen Sound Artists’ Co-Op is an incredible shop to find one of a kind art by local Canadian artists. As part of their collection, they have everything from original art, pottery, handcrafted jewellery, wooden creations, stained glass and more. It’s really an incredible place and you can’t help but feel inspired by all of the unique, original & one-of-a-kind pieces in this space.

Georgian Bay School Of The Arts
Georgian Bay School Of The Arts is another Owen Sound gift shop and lovely place to find a variety of art by Canadian artists, handcrafted soap, handblown glass creations, pottery, and other local products. If you have never been to Georgian Bay School Of The Arts, we highly recommend you visit. Not only do they have a gift shop, they also have a café that serves coffee, tea and baked goods. The the minute you walk into this space you’ll notice how large the building is. Most of the space is used to host workshops and art classes for beginners and established artist. They have an extensive list of classes that you can sign up for so if you’re feeling like you want to express your creativity or get inspired, we highly recommend these classes, we recently participated in a hand building pottery class and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Wild Flowers Consignment Boutique is another great Owen Sound clothing store. Every time we visit this consignment store, we leave with a new piece of clothing we love. The prices are really reasonable and if you plan to consign some of your clothes, the process is super easy. You can only bring in a maximum of 10 pieces of clothing at a time. They decide what they would like to keep right there while you wait. I do want to mention that they are quite selective with what they decide to keep. This is what makes their collection so good!
