What inspired you to start your business?

I wanted to create a clean skincare brand that stood for something, promoted different types of beauty and also wanted to give back to the community. We donate 1% of sales to It Gets Better foundation.

How would you describe your business?

We’re a clean skincare brand dedicated to promoting self love through the use of skincare. I put my product development degree to great use in creating all my own formulas and developing the range personally from initial idea straight through to final retail product! We are promoting all kinds of beauty and want you to be proud of what makes you different.

What’s your bestselling product & why are they so popular?

My “Moon Dust Powder Cleanser” is my most popular product.

I think it appeals to my customer because it’s different than most cleansers, being powder based. The ingredients are really concentrated, it doesn’t contain perfumes and is clean by Sephora standards. It’s usually the first product a customer will try, fall in love with and come back for another step in the routine.

What’s your favourite product from your own shop?

My reusable face mask is my favourite product right now. I love it because it’s you can use it with any of your serums and moisturizers, it helps to lock in the product and makes your skin absorb more of the product used with it. Plus the fact that it’s eco/reusable means less waste!

What’s your favourite local business?

I love Bask Hour candles, based in Montreal. They are Asian owned and create really different and Asian inspired scents.
