What inspired you to start your business?
I have been in the beauty industry for 18 years so far and have always enjoyed helping clients, family and friends with their beauty related concerns. In my profession I’ve used many skincare lines and have always wanted to create one of my own. After becoming a mom I started becoming more aware of ingredients in skincare products, as well as everyday household products. I started looking more into the ingredient labels and was pretty surprised of all the harmful ingredients that we are exposed to on a daily basis. During the Covid pandemic, my work was shut down, this gave me the time and opportunity to pursue my dream of having my own skincare brand. So I took a natural skincare formulation course and started learning about botanical ingredients and all their benefits. I spent months formulating, and testing bunch of skincare goodies on a bunch of friends and family. After much positive feedback and great results, I decided to go for it and launch Tesoro Botanicals.
How do you describe your business?
I would describe my business as a plant powered skincare line that helps nourish our skin as it constantly changes throughout all the stages in life. Healthy, happy skin is the goal, with no harmful ingredients. A skincare routine should be simple, not complicated and the ingredients will speak for themselves. I am the founder, and formulator, and do every other business related task. I have 18 years in the beauty industry so Im familiar with what skin needs as we go through different stages. I put powerful botanical ingredients into all my formulas and the results equal healthy, happy skin!
What’s your bestselling product & why do you think it’s so popular?
It’s a hyaluronic acid serum. Containing 2 types of hyaluronic acids. One is a low molecular weight which allows easy penetration into the skin to replenish its moisture barrier and promote a firmer, more plump appearance while reducing the skin’s moisture evaporation. The other type is a high molecular weight, which holds water that is 1000 times its weight, making it exceptionally hydrating for the skin. It contains Aloe Vera Extract, which is great to soothe and heal the skin and also Niacinamide which helps strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce hyperpigmentation. Great for any skin type and definitely a must have in your daily skincare routine.
