What inspired you to start your business?

I have always loved the joy of giving—finding the perfect, thoughtful gift to make someone feel special. Growing up, I would count down to craft shows, excited to discover unique, locally made gifts. After spending nearly 13 years away from the Maritimes, I felt a deep connection to home and a passion for supporting local artisans. When I saw The Maritime Box for sale, I knew it was my calling. It was the perfect way to blend my love for giving, my appreciation for locally made products, and my dream of uplifting small businesses across Atlantic Canada. I also love meeting makers and hearing about their journey. It is super inspiring to hear everyone’s stories.

I think Atlantic Canada food & snacks are so popular because everyone wants to try something new that they can not get in their own backyard or stores.

What’s your personal favourite product from your shop right now?

I have several personal favourite products within my shop right now. But if I had to choose one it would be the Noel Co Vanille & Tabac Everywhere Mist. It smells soo good!!
